Native American Weathervane Sheet iron late 19th C. early 20th C. Native American Weathervane. Heavy sheet iron vane with remnants of original paint history. Figural image is 6 1/2’ H at the tallest point and 43” W at the widest point of body. Unusual heavy yoke support at base of figural. Mounted on newer steel base support.

Carved Scottish thistle, fleur-de-lis, with W G E G initials.
Other figures are an Irish harp, carved hearts, carved crecent moon and sun.
Originally from the Bill Gutham Collection and sold September 16, 1985. Guthum Bill of Sale included.

Painted Box with History Paint decorated dome top document box belonged to David Wheeler (son of Jonas and Rebecca (Maynard), (Wheeler) who was born March 16, 1771, in Ridge, New Hampshire. In land deeds dated 1813, it is recorded, that David Wheeler bought land and moved to the Bardwell Settlement in Jefferson County, New York where he lived for most of his life. The box is in very good condition. Paint all original. (15” L x 6 3/4” H) Further information is included regarding his children and their children as to where they moved and lived.

Germanic Document Box Wonderful Germanic 18thC. oak dovetailed and inlaid document box. This box has iron strap hinges and covered interior till with linen fold lid. Lid of the box has moldings that are wooden pinned to the sides. The bottom boards are wooden pinned to the sides of the box. Very good condition
